The rims are 18x9. For now we're running the stock tires. I'd actually like to go with a slightly wider tire but I couldn't see dumping nearly new tires for a minimal increase in size. Eventually, when these wear out, we'll step up a size.

Hello all, here's my 05 with 18x9 and 18x10 Konig Stampedes Race Grey w/Stainless lip (40mm offset). Tires are Falken FK452's, 275/40-18 rears and 255/45-18 fronts. Car is lowered on Eibach Sportlines
Sorry, i'm not good with the camera. I feel the wheels look a lot better in person than they do in these pics.

I dont understand tho why people are putting smaller diameter tires in the rear. I mean its not much, but it is still smaller. Why not 285/40's vs 275. Just my personal opinion.

I know what you mean. The reason being is that the Falken FK452's dont come in 285/40-18's. It's what I originally wanted. I was going to go with Nitto 555's but my past experiences prevented me from doing so. I also thought about BFG KDW's but I wasn't much into the tread pattern on those. I've always had good results with FK452's so I went with it. I like it's performance and looks. A quick adjustment using the Predator fixed my speedo with the slightly narrower rear tire.

Thanks for the compliment! I was a bit nervous buying them since I've scoured the net trying to find another stang with these wheels but only found one and it had 20's. Good choice on the CT-R's!

Same thoughts here. In that situation I would have just gone with the 255/45's on all 4 or 275/40's on all four. I wouldn't be able to live with a bigger tire up front. Even if most people wouldn't notice, it would be the first thing I see and it would drive me crazy.

Well, I know I went that route because I wanted there to be a better balance of rubber width front to rear, yet I didnt want to go 275/40 all around. The tires I ended up ordering (GS-D3s) had a total difference of .2 inches front to rear in diameter IIRC, which is pretty small. Plus, the tire selection with 255/45/18 and 285/40/18 is pretty bad, especially if you don't want to pay top dollar.

This picture is a few months old but I still have these rims (for now anyway). If you haven't guessed they are FRPP painted black bullitts 17X8 front and rear (stock size). I have a question for you guys though. For those who've switched to the 18X9's with 245' or 255's, were they a direct bolt on? I read something about steering stops were needed but dont know for what size wheels.
Thanks
