i went back to 17", didnt like the ride change when I changed to 18s a couple yrs ago... got deepdished AR torq-thrust IIs with beefy rear Nitto 275-50-17 of fill the wheelwells a bit without lowering...
we did a 5800 mile out west trip last summer, the big marshmallow tires ride great- think mine rides smoother than the wifes V6 now
was able to crawl over some pretty rough roads up in the mountains that arent exactly mustang friendly, it did well. to make certain the rears could not rub, even with the trunk packed and 4 people, I made shims to go under the bump stops, and put air bags inside the coils , kept the stock ride height/headlight aiming for the trip, no risk of rubbing even with suspension flexed fully loaded... the little extra firmness in the rear isnt bad at all, likely because of the softer rear tires... no regrets on the ride/looks this time think these wheels and tires will be there for the duration
