Can you post a picture from the side for a better view? They look great from what I can tell.

Anyone else running 2010 wheels? Some of the 19's in particular?

Because they shatter? Tow truck driver and bodyshop have never seen wheels crumble like this.

Shotokan1509, that is very strange, they way they self destructed. I am looking for deep dish rims, and the only ones I can find are from American Muscle. Can you give me some background as to what happened, car accident or what, to cause this wheel to self destruct?

Any wheel would have been damaged, but the way they split plus the odd shaped chunks has made me decide not to buy again.

Ok that explains it, a major 180 rotation ,crash into barrier. Well those rims may not be the most robust or strongest rims, but then I doubt any rims are going to do well in a 180 spin out! Stunt cars that do that sort of thing use special tires/ rims/ suspension. I dont think you can really fault those rims in that sort of crash.

I swapped out my original 7 spokes for the 5 spoke Extremes in 20 x 9/10.

Sure, that is why I said any rim would have been damaged, and that I have decided not to buy them again. Trooper also made a comment about them for what thats worth.

I wouldn't either. Btw, isn't there a gov't. organization that tests and approves wheels and such before they're sold?

Shotokan, what wheels are you going to get now? Post up pictures when you get them on. No matter what wheels anyone had on in that situation you would be buying two new ones either way.

Maybe, but I don't know if there is a distinction between factory and aftermarket?

I've been looking at a wide variety, my head hurts. I want at least 18x9 & 18x10, preferably relatively light weight, have ability to clear BBK (in future), not outrageously priced and preferably have a lip to the rear, and a black paintable center. It's in winter storage so I have a few more months to figure it out. I actually really like the CS69's, just wish they made the 18's staggered with the dish like they do in 20's.

Yes, definitely know that any wheel would have been damaged, but I've seen similar accidents, even with higher speed, that were in much better condition. I'm sure there have been worse out there at lower speeds as well. There have been comments that the wheels giving out allowed more body damage, and other comments that they saved some suspension damage. Me, I have no clue, I am not an expert.

Summit has 18x9 for $200.00 each. That's a deal in my book.

Do they even offer a bolt pattern/offset we could get away with on ours? An 18X9 all around in chrome would be perfect for me!
