I have the CDC shaker on order already and it should arrive soon.
I'm thinking about installing the wide dual hood stripes from Graphic Express before the shaker.
Since I have a black GT, I'm considering the dark grey stripes. IMO the black/dark grey contrast won't bee too "in your face" (which is what I'm looking for) and the shaker scoop will stand out even more with the stripes installed.
What is the general opinion, should I go for these stripes or leave the stang flat black? (I'm not interested in other stripes or I'll be too much of a copycat).

I say go for it! I know those stripes and they are sweet. Plus, I'm getting dark gray stripes on mine soon and there's no chance that we'll drive by each other since you're in the Netherlands! I too want an original look. So let's just agree on keeping an ocean between us and admiring each other's cars from afar

I think with the shaker you should go with the single wide stripe like a Mach 1.

agreed!

I think the look is different and I like my car (and myself) being different. I mean, look at my hood pins ! Speaking of those pins, the single Mach 1 stripe and the shaker scoop will result in too much visual focus on the center of the hood. :notnice:
Everyone has their own tase and ways of expressing their ideas. There are classic mods like Shelby stripes or Magnum wheels, and those look great, but I wanted something unique and yet not ricey. I don't expect everyone to enjoy the end result.

Think about this: "If everybody looked the same, we'd be tired of looking at each other".
PS: hmmm... that saying should go in my sig

those stripes will look so good on your car! i bought a dark gray sample from graphic express when i was stripe hunting - it's VERY dark. i'm not sure i'd go with that dark myself (it looks darker than the ones i'm getting). i went with the 10" shelby stripes from baltimore. they'll be going on in the next couple weeks. i'll drop some pics when i can. please do the same. i can't wait to see your finished look!

Go for it man, it would probably look great. Especially with the dark stripes it would bring out the shaker and make it look awesome.
