Hey everyone! I would like to first state that I'm not a performance junkie, I am in love with the power my little V6 and the handling. Secondly, I want a 'special' looking pony rather then looking like I just rolled off the show room floor. The only really mod I desire is chrome Bullitt rims. Yes, I know that Bullitts are very common and seem like a "big-whoop" to most of you guys out there but I am in LOVE with them. I keep trying to look around the Internet to find some cheap ones but the cheapest I can find is 184.99. That would put that total to around 740 bucks... I really want to keep the total rim/tire total to be around $1,000. However, that would mean if I went w/ that 184.99 guys, it would only allow me to spend 260 on tires and you can't find that size of tire for 65 bucks ha-ha. So I was wondering what kind of tires I could get. I'm not looking for high-performance tires or anything. I know I've seen some tire/rim combos on EBay for around 800 however, I'm still a little hesitant buying off someone there. I just don't want to get screwed if they ship a rim that has a defect on it and won't replace it.

I was hopeful when I saw that the upgrade Bullitts you could get from the factory. They were to be only 825 and then I learned that is just a special price for new cars and that just any "joe-schmo" couldn't walk into a dealer and expect to get those rim/tire set for 825. So if you guys could point me into the direction of either a cheap rim/tire set or some cheap tires, that would be great! Remember that I'm not looking for high performance.

There are quite a few people that have bought wheels from AFS on this website. AFS has a website and sells outside of ebay. Prices are more expensive though. For Chrome bullitts and tires under 1grand, if you are not planning on using ebay you may have a hard time. If you don't need chrome, look at Saleen, or Karkraft, for takeoff wheels and tires. You can get some good buys. the factory 17in bullitts look really good.

California Mustang has take-off rim packages from saleen on sale for 895.00 tires & rims. They state the tires & rims have less than three miles on them. I've bought stuff from them before. No problems. www.cal-mustang.com.

We ( www.50Resto.com ) have a lot of wheels kits. Some starting as low as 499.95 for 4 wheels and chrome locking lug nuts. Might want to give it a look and see if theres anything you like.

Thanks
