Which Shorty Antenna??

I have a 05 yellow mustang. Looking for a shorty antenna to get rid of the factory fishing pole I have on there now. I'm currently looking at American Muscle for the 8" and 14" antenna but can't really decide between the two. Anybody have any suggestions or any pics of theirs? Or get theirs from somewhere else?

I like the 14" as it's pretty much even with the roof line, the 8" just seems the opposite of the stock too short.

Apparently the reception with the 8 inch is not great.

Just cut 12" off of yours with a Dremel, pop off the plastic ball by wrapping a wrench and paper towel around it and slamming the end of it (put the end in a ziploc bag so it doesn't fly away in your garage when you pop it off), file it down a bit, superglue it, and done. Perfect reception, stock antenna and FREE! Why do people pay for shorter antenna's?

That's basically what I did with the mine on my 96 Cobra. It's since went to all my other new cars; 01 Lightning, then 06 GT Vert, and now on my 08 GT coupe. Works good..

+1 on the homemade shorty. Great reception, and I think it looks so much better than a bulky shorty antenna that makes you look like your running a CB radio in your car. With the cut off stock antenna you can hardly notice it. Also making it even with the roof line I think is good that way it doesnt look yo short.

Ive got the 8 inch shorty from American Muscle and have only lost a very small amount of reception. Hardly even a noticable difference 95% of the time.

I have the 14" from AM and haven't noticed any loss of reception. As another guy pointed out, it looks good -- matches the roofline.
