Does anyone out there happen to know what brand of wheels are on the 05 GT in this months issue of MotorTrend. The add is on page 106. Does anyone know or think that 20" rims might be a little to big for the mustang? Any info would be great! I just can't get over how sweet that particular rim looks on that mustang. It even makes the blue look good, and I thought that was impossible. B)

Hmm... I think I will check that out. Thanks Ed. You answered me in another forum on the same question. I am sure I was in the wrong area when I made that post. Rookie mistake.

In the add for BFGoodrich they say they are 20" rims. However I am not sure that I would personally want 20" rims on my GT. I will probably go with 18" or 19" rims. Thanks for figuring all that out, it is greatly appreciated.

Hey Guys and Gales.... long time reader first time posting. I've been communicating with a Gentleman at http://www.bonspeedstore.com/store.htm regarding the Bondspeed Delta's on the BGF Stang. He was supposed to get back with me last Friday regarding the exact height, width, offset and size of the BFG’s as well. At least we know for sure they are 20's. Anyway, his name is Bill Hancock and his email address is bonspeedwheels@uswheel.com ... Just in case any of you want to bug him some more. I think he may have been told not to give out any info till the Sema Show. If I hear from him I will be sure to post the info here.

My bad, Bill. I was really excited and wanted to get an answer and didn't know where to post it.

srichard-thanks for the info on the rims. Please be in touch if the guy gives you an official size, that would rock.

Not a problem, I also have his work number. I'm going to give him a call tomorrow. I also really like those rims. The first thing I will do when I get my GT is head straight to the wheel and tire shop. I went to the Texas State Fair last weekend and they had four fully loaded GT's, 3 with the optional wheels and one with the standard wheels. In my opinion the wheels don't look to bad.... they are just way to small for the car. The wheels on my four sedan are bigger. Got to sit in the GT's at the fair... The seats are very comfy but the Speedo looks a little cheapish to me and the Speedo numbers are way to close to each other.

Awesome that you got to sit inside one. This site is as close to one as I have came. So do you have one on order or plans to purchase one?

I do plan to purchase a GT but I'm just not sure what color I want. I have to see them all in person before I make up my mind.

M-squared, I've got some news for you my friend. I just got off the phone with Bill Hancock from bonspeedstore.com. The wheels on the BFG Mustang are 20in X 8.5in in the front and 20in X 10in in the rear. They are $450 a peace for both sizes. Not bad in my opinion. I've been looking at wheels twice the price. He said he was not sure what the exact tire size is on the BFG car but he did say that he would figure that out for me when I'm ready to buy. He can put a package together and get a good deal on tires. Of course they are the Delta's but the Clutch's would look good too, see photo below. Hope this is the good news you were looking for.

Awesome news! Those clutch rims look pretty similar to the delta's. 20x10 is huge in the rear. I think this rim would look sweet with a brake package, but that would cost as much as the rims and tires. I can see my savings going down the drain over this car. I better keep it for a long time.

They do have 18in but no 19in. So it's either 18's or 20's. There will be a few mustangs at the sema show with 20's, therefore we should be able to get a good perspective if 20's look right. Could you imagine a 295/40 20in tire on a 10 inch wide rim. Man, that would look great from the rear stance of the car.

Sure beets the wimpy 235/55 17's. :notnice:

AMEN brother! Too bad about the 19" rims. I heard a man speak once about the ultimate tire size he said 17" was a true performance size. I think atleast 18" to give it the sweet look.

I understand the excitement. I'm waiting on my GT order...

hdwrench- I believe in less police, and more community self-policing. The mods here have a tough enough time as it is.

hello all, newbie delurking here.

srichard-
thanks for all the info! Did bill say anything about these wheels fitting stock? We don't need to roll fenders or muck with the live axle in the rear do we?

thanks again!
Corey

Corey, He did say they would fit a stock car. I can't wait to see their bonspeed black rose appearing at the sema show. Supposedly that car will be lowered a bit with 20's. From what I've seen of the 05... It has huge wheel wells. Plenty of room for 20's.

The stock rims/tires look small in that huge opening for a wheel well. I think 20's will fill it out just perfectly!
