Shelby Front Conversion
The Gt Hood looks great with the Gt500 Bumper!
Yes and no. I only have my front end lowered with steeda sport springs and I'm scared to lower my rear. It really depends on where you live and where you drive. Most places I go I can angle my car and get in with no problems, but speed bumps and inclines tend to be a problem. What size rims and tires are you running. That could make a big difference. I'm currently just running my stock 18's and stock tires, however I plan to put 20's on with a decent size sidewall tire and at that point in time I think I'll be able to lower the rear and not have too many clearance issues. If you do go with the side exhaust kit I highly recommend having it welded in because if for some reason you do go over a bump it will readjust where your tips sit. Also I would have a professional shop install them because they will require some adjustments. Let me know if I can be anymore help.
Dang I love the black that looks sick.
Can someone post a list of everything I need for the front to work please. I called one dealership it was 1800 another it was 1400 and I don't know what they are adding in, I would much rather be able to tell them what I want exctally.
Thanks

When I inquired about changing my front clip over to the GT-500's most of feedback I recieved was to go with KC Clevparts@aol.com . He responded to my e-mail in one day and the price for the full front end kit was $XXXX. shipped! That was the price at the end of February right after a price hike. Also some parts can be reused like the inner fender liners with little modification. I also have the complete parts list with numbers if your interested.

This is the parts list I got from this forum. I reverified the part numbers, and all should be good.
Sorry about the price quote I didnt realize it was taboo.

All your Shelby clones look great !!
Like I always say .....
"Its not the real deal but it looks just as nice at a fraction of the price !"
Beats paying the Ford dealer tons of money over MSRP for a real Shelby GT500 !!
Can't tell you the number of times I've been asked how much did I pay for
my Shelby ! Their jaws drop when I tell them 2k over a what a standard
Mustang GT costs.

Here you go with 2 more. My yellow and my buddies black. We did the conversions in one weekend. Fairly easy, especially the second car. Looks awesome w/ factory hood IMO. They both get looks beyond belief. Both are lowered on sportline springs with 20's as well as 10" wide rears with 295-30-20's. Best changes ever could have been done. Looks alot like the protoype cars from 2004. The new price is approx 1500.

I paid a little under $3500.00 for my front and rear end conversion. It included all the parts (majority from KC) paint, labor, time. etc. I'm using the stock v6/GT hood as well and with the Shelby front I think it looks great. I just have yet to find a hood that I want to replace the stock hood with (which is why I haven't done racing stripes yet). I definitely think if you go through your local Ford dealer for parts you're going to pay more. In this case, I would get the parts from KC...but this is my opinion.
The Shelby front looks retarded without the chin spoiler. First time around I didn't buy the hardware for the chin spoiler and just used push pins to keep it on, well a puddle decided to take it off for me. The front fascia looks incomplete without the chin spoiler. And make sure to get the hardware for sells to keep the chin spoiler on.
On mine with the H&R Super Sports (published 2"drop) the splitter is at 4" from the ground. Since that was immediately after installing the springs without driving the car at all, I'd bet it will settle closer to 3" once the springs are broken in.
