I was in to the local Ford Dealer yesterday to see their Shelby GT 500`s,
they`ve got two sitting around before they allow delivery. Anyway
I`m looking over the chin spoiler on the coupe and it looks like it might
fit the front of my V6 coupe. Anybody tried this or know if it would ?

 

If you look back a page or two you will find a thread were several of us are in the process of fitting the GT500 'spliter', which is what you are referring to. It takes a bit of work and dedication to make it fit, but a few people have been successful and a couple others not so well.

My GT-500 splitter is sitting in my garage. I am still tossing around how best to approach this modification. I may try something the others haven't.

 

Thats what I'm wondering, Will it fit the V6 better than the GT?

 

I know the V6 and Gt have a different contour on the lower portion of the bumper - also the V6 doesn't have the lower lip either. I'm sure it will still require some fab work but it looks like it would be a better match to the V6 bumper vs the GT bumper. If anyone is doing a Shelby conversion in the Minneapolis area I would gladly bring the V6 over to see how well they matched up.
