Shaker install and hood stripes, paint before cutting?

I'm looking to do a black stripe on my hood to get a bit of the Mach 1 look, and I'm also going to pick up the CDC Shaker. Is it better to get the hood striped first, then cut into it for the shaker install, or do the cutting first?

Thanks

If your going to get it painted I don't think it matters. If you were going to use vinyl then I'd say do the stripe before cutting.

+1
Stripe it first, other wise for a good paint or vinyl job you will have to remove the Shaker Trim Ring which is held together with rivets and held down with 3M double sided tape. Save yourself some grief and stripe it first.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll look to get the stripe done first, sounds easier.
