YES! George Follmer and Parnelli Jones were mates on Bud Moore's 1970 Trans Am team and both cars had identical color schemes. These two drivers were arguably the best of their era! tbear - thanks for the remembrance!!!

I don't believe anyone would think less as long as the wheels are genuine or "style" licensed wheels. I've seen SVT wheels (with center caps) on other Ford models and thought, "hmmm, looks good". I say, smoke 'em if you got 'em, keep 'em if you like 'em".
I agree John, as I've also seen lots of 2005-09 Mustangs with GT500 wheels with the SVT center cap and nobody thought any less about them being on non GT500 cars. However, despite my GT500 wheels as being OEM authentic, someone approached me at a local car cruise event a couple years ago and asked if my car was a Shelby GT500? when I mentioned that it was a standard GT that I later upgraded to the GT500 wheels which I purchased from a friend of mine, his next question was my reason for wanting to put Shelby GT500 wheels on a Mustang that isn't an authentic Shelby GT500? My response was simply "because I can" Obviously, the person in question either doesn't know the difference between a Shelby GT500 over a regular Mustang GT or very well could've been some GM fanboy just looking to provoke an argument

At any rate, it just goes to show just how ignorant some people can really be lol.
