Are the shakers available for the V6 ? Also do I have to buy a hood or do I cut the factory hood ?

does the shaker improve performance? or is it just for looks? is it compatible with a CAI?

See TACOBILL's write-up, he adapted it to a CAI

As far as performance it's still in the air some say yes, some say no.

It is functional as far as air flow thru it to the filter

Yes it's functional. Yes it's compatible with just about any CAI. IMO does not improve performance but I don't care I got it for looks.

Whats everyone think of painting the raised edges on the shaker scoop similiar to picture below? I was going to paint mine body color "tungsten".
