Sequential Taillamps

I finally did it! I bought a kit to convert my existing wiring harness to sequential taillamps at quite a fraction of the cost most kits sell for. The kit works great and was a very easy install for me.

I love the sequentials. Good going for this price if it works well.

Ive had mine from M&M for over a year, they work great. Very easy to install and about half the cost of plug and play setup's....

Many years ago I wanted this mod for both my 1994 Mustang with 96 taillamps and also my 1999 Mustang. It always kept getting pushed to the bottom of my modifications priority list.

Since I found the kit at a much lower price I am thrilled that I get to enjoy this cool feature which I remember being fascinated with as a kid watching the taillamps flash in sequence on Thunderbirds, Cougars and Shelby's of the late 60's.

This was one of my first installs and I've received lots of compliments and questions on them. I do however have a question. My highmount brake light is out and now I'm trying to figure out if the sequentials turn it off and it just never worked after I installed them and just did not notice til now. The car was in the shop so I just had them replace the bulb but it still does not seem to work.

Does the highmount still work with sequentials and I just need to take it back in?

The sequentials should have no effect on the high mounted brake lamp. The high mounted brake lamp is on a individual wire that run from the front to the back of the car. I would check for bad connections, faulty brake lamp switch or the Smart Junction Box.

The first thing I would do is check for voltage to the bulb socket with the bulb removed. The next thing I would do is check the brake lamp switch for a separate lead that goes to the high mounted brake lamp only. It's possible as well that the voltage comes off the Smart Junction Box seperate from the left and right taillamps.

Thanks for the reply back. I'll try checking those out tomorrow and hopefully that will fix it.
