I need to order hood pins, cuz im gettin the mystery 7 hood. I was reading about the scott drake shelby pins and it says they are designed for the stock hood, will they fit the aftermarket hood?

 

I have the hood pins, but have a stock hood on my Shelby.... I don't see why you can't put them on another hood. You shouldn't have a problem.

 

Really depends on what aftermarket hood you plan on getting.

My body shop had to relocate the location of the pins from the radiator support to the outter rubber stops. My hood has a ram air so the pins had to sit father apart. Required removing the front bumper and headlamps to drill the holes where the pin would sit. Time consuming

Why didn't you relocate the hood pins towards edge of the hood? Looks alittle outta place in the way of the ram air openings, JMO.

 

Im still waiting to get mines installed. I have to do the same as JonCo and so I am just waiting to do it the same time my hood is going to get reshot. JonCO how much did they charge you for the install?

 

I love the subtle, yet apparent Meguiars advertising on the passender front fender/hood!!

 

... $300. Flat rate charge to remove the front bumper and both headlights.

Oh well I had to do it and its done. Whats spent is spent. Looks good now
