I just tried to purchase ~$300 worth of stuff and the site does not allow for shipping to APO. I shot them an email to see if they will ship via USPS. These are some of the best pieces I've seen and if they won't ship USPS I'm going to be POd!!!

Paul is a good guy and I'm sure he will do what he can for you Alex. This is through a Ford dealership and some things are probably going to be "out of his control".

Worse case I'll have them shipped to an address in the states and then have them shipped USPS to me. Sucks though 'cause I have to pay shipping twice when doing that. We'll see what they say....

I tried to order that same set from them. I ordered them on the 18th of November and they haven't shipped them yet. They didn't reply to my email until I called them several times. Paul is hard to get on the phone and never returned my calls.

I personally will probably not do business with him. I ordered parts on September 16th, over $300 worth of stuff. Didnt get an email back. Sent an email September 20th questioning the status. On September 21st, he emailed me back stating they were out of stock on a few items and they would be arriving next week. Still no package or email (and 2 car shows had passed which I wanted to have the parts for), so October 6th I emailed again asking for the status of the parts. October 8th he emailed me back stating the dipstick handle was out of stock and was waiting on a response from Scott Drake, and HE would email ME when it came into stock. That's the last I heard from him. My CC was charged when I placed the order, but then a few days later refunded. I consider that "the run around" and would probably not do business with him. Stuff goes out of stock, I understand. But keep your customer informed, especially when you tell him you will. Don't give deadlines you can't keep. And if you're going to take my money, keep it unless I ask for a refund. I can't afford $300 worth of crap I don't need to show up right now.

Sorry, that was just my experience.

There is another thread somewhere on here, where people who had them were complaining like crazy. Particularly the brake fluid cap. They said they are not a good seal, and allow water to get in, which has made their brake fluid look like pepto (pinkish fluid).

I dunno.. I thought about buying them also, but not if thats what I can look fwd to.

Well I am not going to speak on Paul's behalf but as far as I am concerned he is a stand up guy. Maybe he will contact you guys with an explaination. I know that Scott drake is supposed to be a p.i.t.a. to deal with.

Just so you know, I wasn't slamming your buddy or this thread, just letting people know what I read. It would be great if he would reply to this and validate any concerns.

I'm not flaming him, either. Just stating my experience. I'm one person, and this very well could have been an isolated incident. I'm sure he's a good guy. The service was just not on par with what I've come to expect from other vendors, such as Brenspeed and SHR.

My personal experience...Do not buy Scott Drake dress up parts for the S197. The door lock little caps do not fit well, the overhead console strip doesn't stick, the brake fluid cap does not seal, and to top it off, the f*cking oil cap came off on me twice. Once at the track and I caught it at the end of a run and the second time while driving to work on a Mon or Tues and I didn't catch it until Friday when I saw a big puddle of oil on my garage floor. I know it was Mon or Tues because I remember hearing it hit the underside of my car and I thought it was something else. Needless to say, I spent the better part of Saturday cleaning the inside of the engine bay.

Just my experience...

If it was me I'd cancel it. The fitment leaves a lot to be desired for...especially compared to the price.

I emailed Paul again about the parts. He said the problem is something was wrong with the dip stick handle and they were waiting on replacement ones to complete the set. They are having a problem getting them from Scott Drake. At least he did not ship out the set with the deffective part in it and have us deal with that.

This is the first I have heard that some of the Scott Drake parts are not fitting properly. Thank you for that information.

Who else is a good source of engine dress up items?

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me. The dipstick handle doesn't fit well either. The rubber grommet is pretty much torn off because it's not the right size and I oiled it before using it. Boy, I'm just all about good news huh?

Thinking I'm going with UPR next. Anyone want to buy some great Scott Drake parts? Just kidding...wouldn't sell them to anyone.

Just wait guys. Patience is worth it sometimes - we've got about 6 more products for the interior in billet I want to have done before we move forward and under the hood

I don't think you will be disappointed with what we come out with if you can hang on. I know we'd like to always be first to market, but sometimes it's better to be right than to have "Gen V" or whatever iterations come out, all the while selling loads of the parts that really shouldn't be out in the market...
