Does anyone know if the Saleen hood (w/ Louvers) will be sold as an aftermarket part?

I check the website and didn't see anything.

I want to get something to let the heat out of my engine but keep a nice OEM look.

Does anyone know of any alternatives?

California Mustang

California Mustang is the only place I've seen that's selling them. I'm very interested in getting one too. They're just very nice looking hoods without too much flashiness.

man james, i will definently give u a thumbs up every time I see u around town...I saw a mineral grey gt w/ bullitts today on the highway...but it had mirror window tint...?

Yeah hopefully I will be getting it soon should be begining to mid July. I just called Woody Anderson Ford about maybe getting a drop ship, I have to talk to the GM about it so he is supposed to call me back.

I ordered the saleen hood in Febuary - just came last week. I ordered directly from saleen.

I picked my car up today - looks great - will take some pic's on the weekend (raining today).

Black GT with silver louvers in the hood.

i second the picks... I have a black roush sport and want that same hood. Show the pics when you get it installed.

Hah where you guys when i was asking about the hood last week.

Here is some info and pics from a thread I started on another website. A dealer was nice enough to show close up pics of how the louvers worked.

I have always loved that hood but on my car since I have the ducktail I don't think it would give it the retro look that I'm going from. I have to say the the finish on the underside is alittle rough for the $ that they are asking for the hood. Can't wait to see the pictures.
