Saleen Bodywork...

I spoke to a representative at the Irvine, CA. Saleen store about purchasing and installing their bodywork and this is the quote I received...

Bodywork: $1,599.99 + $1,500 Install Fee

Exhaust: $999.99 – Free Install W/ Bodywork

I also got a quote on the wheels/tires/suspension/gauges/flash/badges/etc...

But for right now...The bodywork is really what I'm in love with and it's a start...

I really love the look of the Saleens but I can't help feeling like I'll forever be a fraud...

BUT I LOVE THE BODYWORK SO MUCH!!!

What's your take on it?

I have Saleen side skirts with a Roush rear deck spoiler, 3D Carbon side scoops, Siverhorse quarter window louvers. Top that off with a CDC chin spoiler and an Agent 47 lower grille, oh, and let's not forget the Seibon C/F ram air hood...I don't feel like a fraud and I sleep just fine at night.

Stay away from the badging though...great way to get flamed.

Point is...it's your car do what makes you happy sans the badging!

I agree. As long as you stay away from the badging no one should judge.

Hey - its YOUR car. Do what you want so that you can enjoy it. Nothing wrong with personalizing the car to your tastes.

Alright just wanted to hear your thoughts about the matter...

I agree about the badging as well...

I may just switch it up when I can afford to!

Also can anyone recommend some sites that may sell the complete kit for less?

$1,500 for install of a body kit is insane. Do it yourself in your garage for free.

Haha I know...That's what I was thinking...

That's about 20 hours worth of labor...Yeah right!

So any online recommendations for good pricing on the complete kit?

He is right...I installed everything on my car without any help. You get the benefit of the cost savings plus there is a great sense of personal satisfaction .

And the thumbs up I get all the time is cool too.
