I like the look of the hood scoop + stripe. Never been sure about those louvers though...
What are the measurements of the stripe? I'm thinking of a single ghost stripe on my black GT too.

Mustang Kid,
The body shop put the louvers on for me. He said they were a PITA. Hope yours goes on smooth. I am not sure, but mine are not fit tight against the body. I wonder if they did it right... Let me know how yours fit.

Louie,
I will have to measure the stripes, I am not certain. I know there is an inch between the stripes, and the outside stripe is 1 3/4. But not sure the width of the center stripe. Ill let you know.

scotts05custom,
I havent considered about a black spoiler... that may be a good idea. Although I worry about how hard black is to take care of and keep clean. I live on a dirt road...

Hey porkster, I just finished putting my louvers on. It went really smooth, no problems. they just touch the body. No gap.

I stopped by the Ford dealer on my way home to look at another Roush car and see how the louvers fit. Youre right, mine are not on right. At least the passenger side isnt. I am taking it back to the body shop today to have them fix it. Thanks!

Do you notice a little "slop" in the fit along the top edge? If you pull on it, does it move away from the body? I am worried that with driving and wind, it wiggling will wear the paint off the body.

Looks good! thats what I want my hood to look like, with a little thinner lines for the side stripes Hope you get your louvers fixed (they look great also). Is the trunk painted or vinyl?

Shaun81, the black between the taillights on the trunk is vinyl.

Thanks for the compliments!

Looks very nice! I think a black spoiler would fit in real well with the rest of your mods too.

My stripe dimensions are
21" big center stripe
3/4" gap
1 1/2" outside stripe.

I wanted the center stripe to cover over the windshield washers, since they are black, so its a little wider than I prefered. But I really like it. The center stripe fits perfectly between the edges of the fogs, then the outer stripes fit following the line down to the lower grill.

Thanks!!

I can appreciate that. An option I was thinking of (if I went with a stock hood instead of a Fang hood) was having the outside black stripes cover the windshield washers, like the photoshop below.

FYI: Fang doesn't have washers on the hood. They are mounted on the windshield wipers.

Again, looks great!

I just received my Roush scoop for my 06. I was a bit surprised to see what they called "hood scoop grille" is really just a solid piece of black plastic. I assumed a grille would have holes. Once installed, can you see the black plastic grille, or is it far enough back into the scoop that it can't be seen from the outside?

Thanks.

It is back far enough, you cant see it, unless you are really looking for it. Especially with it black, it blends in and is dark.

Post pics when you get yours installed.
