Roush Louvers
About how hard is it to install roush louvers yourself? I have no previous experience with these kind of things, just wanted to know if I would be able to install them, or bring them to a shop before I ordered them.
Personally, I would leave painting them to a professional or someone with experience. The actual installation is pretty straight forward once you follow the instructions. Roush perhaps could have provided better pictures and pre-cut the installation patterns that come along with them. Patience also helps.
Its very simple to install these. They give you a template to tape to your car. Then its shows exactly where to stick the brackets. After the brackets are securly taped to the body the louvers then get bolted to those. Makes it easy to remove and clean behind them.
If you want them done by a bodyshop, take them to Mike's Auto Body and Paint on Idlewyld (off Metro), and tell them that John from Mercury sent you. Ask for Billy, they'll be sure to treat you fair. I've seen a lot of their work, sent them hundreds of cars, and never had a single complaint.
