Painted and ready for install. What do you think.
Going to cut a hole in the hood to be functional for fresh air. Magnum 500 wheels next year with tax $$$$. maybe

What brand chin spoiler is on your car?

Beatiful car, the stripe does a real good job showcasing the hood scoop but IMO the front spoiler is too big and looks hideous.

Thanks. The spoiler looks bigger than it is in pics. In person the CDC classic looks really good IMO...here is another pic.
FREAKIN' SWEET!!!!! I love it!!!
If I were you I'd cut the hole in the hood. I mean I don't really care if it's not functional, but it just seems like you'd get better performance if you had the hole. Maybe not specifically from the added fresh air added into the engine, but since you already have the scoop it seems like the air caught in the scoop doesn't have any place to go, and if it did it would be more aerodynamic. Either way it looks ansolutely AWESOME :headbang:

Awesome look! Love it all, but don't cut the hole. That hood is aluminum, and will be expensive to replace if you or a future owner changes your (their) mind. Also, since air pressure is an issue under the hood, a scoop with an open hole under it will just add to that problem and maybe cause vibration at high speed. Third, unless you do some serious fabrication, the air won't be going directly to the air filter anyway. It's over on the driver's side. You may just end up with a very dusty engine compartment and no real advantage to having cut an expensive hood. Now if you can duct the air, that's different.... No shame in an ornamental scoop, IMO.
I like the overall package. Nice job!! Generally, I prefer the chin spoiler to be painted to match the car, but with the stripes and the spoiler, it works well on yours as is.
I also agree with those that said, don't cut the hood!! Cutting it would provide little or no benefit, but could open you up to more problems. Leave it as an exterior body mod.

Leave the car the way it is without the scoop. It looked ever good in the one shot without it. Unless it's actually going to be functional it is no better then what ricers do.

Thanks but to go with the Mach 1 theme I am trying to do it needs a scoop or shaker and the funds for the shaker and the fact it is not out yet is a problem. As far as that is what ricers do..the previous stangs had non functional scoops from factory and they look good IMO. Even the old stangs had non functional body parts.
To each his own....some consider stripes rice....I consider hondas rice not mustangs.
