So I've decided that I want to make my car look like a Roush 427R. However, I don't know what is the best way to do it. Would it be better to buy the parts prepainted (~$1950 before shipping), unpainted (~$1200) and have them installed painted here, or just go through my ford dealer. What would end up being the cheapest/best route?

 

Best is never cheapest, unless your doing the labor and very good at what your doing. Thant being said, sometimes prepainted doesnt match very well. I would [ and have ] buy everything and have it painted to match, do your own install and save the funds. Hope this helps

On a budget, a little at a time. both parts and labor and installed after painting locally.

 

Hey Mach - glad to see you got it done. Have you given thought to putting the Bullit grill in with foglights in the lower bumper like the GT500?

 

Being that your car is an 07, a prepainted setup would most likely match right up, but I think I'd have it unpainted, and then get it installed and painted; because they can match the original paint color, and blend it in if the color is a little off, and you wont know the difference.

 

I've heard the quality on the pre-painted Roush parts is excellent. That's the route I've chosen to go.

 

I have thought of that, but the PJ is built just like you see here, except its GO of course. and the have a brake cooling kit for this bumper. Seems the way to go.Thanks for the comments though,

 

I bought the redfire prepainted Roush rear spoiler for an 07 GT and it was a perfect match.

After an unfortunate encouter with a truck recap on the interstate I have bought some Torch Red prepainted Roush parts for the 06 and they are a perfect match too.
