meausrements for the stock hood is roughly 5 in & the new hood is 7 1/2 in give or take an 8th. while i was doing that i did notice some low spots that will need to be built up -- similar to vegasjay's situation. but they are extremely minor - if i didn't have such a critical eye - i prolly wouldn''t even notice.

i'm lovin' this hood though -- looks great!
Thanks. 2-1/2" hmmmm. I probably would have been ok with that at the presale price. oh well. Maybe if I get to see one in person I might fall in love with it...

Lou, would you mind taking a close up pic of the front corners to see how they line up? Thank you.

the left side appears to be off by a mm or so -- but there's a little play there -- if i barely press down on the corner it lines up square. i'm thinking if i install hood pins it should correct it - either way - you don't even notice it unless you're looking to find something wrong.

I wonder if some sort of air channel can be made to direct the air to the CAI from that driver's side scoop.? Is there anything underhood that you can attach too? Looks good! I do like that other black hood too. The idea of cold air in the front and hot out the back.

David, RK Sport already did that for us! Both scoop's channel air directly over the air filter. It actually look's like a good bit of air flow will be gained...

Picture's of the underside of Lucky Lou's hood...The square hole on the left blow's fresh air directly on top of the air filter. It chanels the air from both scoop's.

So no rubbing at all on the C&L CAI?
