I talked with RKSport today and I have a couple options.
  1. I can take the hood off and send it to them to be inspected and possibly replaced under warranty. However, the stock hood was destroyed in a car accident so that means I wouldn’t be able to drive my car for however long.
  2. Buy a new hood from them at a reduced cost to replace my hood.
  3. Say screw it and change hoods to something else. Of course with pins this time.
So what all would you suggest? I need some good hood ideas. Aluminum options would be great as well.

Are they paying for return shipping? If not,I would probably try to get another stock hood already painted (possibly used) and lick your wounds for now

Mike,
Here are a few pics of the pin location you requested.
The Ford racing pins are not long enough to fit here.

Thanks so much for the pics. I see from yours the hood lines up with the drivers side fender. Mine sits a little high on that side towards the middle. I wonder how people got the hood to work with just the stock Ford pins. Humm....

So which hood pin kit are you using then?

I have the ford pins, and I had to get creative! I didn't like it, but it worked. If there's a brand that works without having to drill and dremel, that would be great...

Let me know if you can. I have the Cali Dream hood waiting to go on the car, but haven't because I didn't want to start drilling again.

I used a combination of 2 pin sets to make mine the way I wanted.
The pins are P/N 4256 from Pep Boys, I used the stainless circles from the Ford Racing pins set because they were thicker than any of the other sets I found which were just thin tin. The FR pins were not long enough and the pins I used were 4"+/- long with the clip holes closer to the top.
