replica Roush/CDC 9 bar grille

Has anyone purchase this replica Roush/CDC 9 bar grille from Mr. Bodykit? It is a lot more affordable than the Roush or CDC one, but I am wondering if it is the same quality.

http://www.mrbodykit.com/accessories/billet.htm#2005

Any feedback would be much appreciated. I would rather pay $130 than $320!

I have that overlay grille to fit the fogs in it, I went with the black. It is a good fit and looks great. I don't have pics as I am customizing the grille behind it.

I think you may have the wrong grille here I am referring to the Roush 9 bar grill that does not have an opening for fog lights. It is not an overlay....it is the complete grille. Mr Bodykit has one that looks the same.......and I am just wondering if the quality is comparable since it is cheaper in price.

Once you click on the link....you have to scroll down a bit to see it. Same one as on a Roush. It is advertised as:

9 Bar High Air Flow 801135

Yeah I made that sound confusing I meant to say I bought the overlay style from them not the Roush style. I would think the quality would be the same, which is good from my experience.

Apparently, they get their grilles from overseas. If it is decent quality, I will buy this Roush look alike grille from them......I am hoping someone on here has bought this same grille already and is happy with it.

Please chime in if you have or know anything about it

Sometimes you get what you pay for. I bought my CDC grille from Stage3Motorsports and have been very happy with it. I have seen them come up from time to time used in the for sale section also.

The Roush grille is made by CDC so don't pay more for the "Roush" grille. G/L with your decision.

So no one has ordered this Roush "replica" grill from Mr. BodyKit??

Has anyone order the Roush "replica" grill from S and S inserts? They are currently selling for $140......again much cheaper than the original CDC or Roush grilles.

I did a little more research and have decided to order the Stack Racing 9 bar billet grille from American Muscle. Sounds and looks like a decent product especially for about half the price of the CDC/Roush.

Should get it next week

Yes, extremely happy with it. Got it from American Muscle. If you decide to get it, make sure you get a forum discount code from them.

Thanks! You can not tell it apart from the Roush grille. I have seen both.

Will be getting the Cervinis GT500 style spoiler sometime in the future.

There is a slight finish difference along with the Roush having better hardware, but defintely not worth the extra expense to buy the Roush.

I have to agree that the hardware from Stack Racing is not the best.....but it does work and my grille is still holding fine on the car. I have to say the instructions are not the greatest either. I just downloaded the Roush instructions off the net and used those with the original ones I got from Stack Racing.

In terms of the finishing, I did not really notice too much there. I just received my Stack Racing brushed fuel door and this time there is no instructions! Maybe these guys cut down their cost by giving bad or no instructions with their products? The fuel door seems to be of pretty decent quality like their grille.

My upper grill was sold to me used as being a Roush, but I kind of questioned it at first since it had the smaller headed mounting screws that are typical with the cheaper parts. And then when I installed the CDC lower billet grill that I ordered on Black Friday, I noticed the big difference in both the mounting hardware along with the thickness of the billet fins... and even the color is slightly different as my upper grill has a lot more gloss to the black. I am very ****, so I might end up swapping the upper for a "real" Roush down the road.

I have a mrbodykit upper and lower grill.

they are cheap. but they look fine once you get them installed. the bars can be bent pretty easily too.

my lower grill started to have the black paint chip off. i plan to remove both grills and re-paint them and get better hardware.

however, i wouldn't pay what roush and others want for similar grill kits.

Just for curiosity, I will at mine a little closer and compare to a Roush when I get a chance. Mine is holding up well....though I can see what you mean by the cheap hardware, but nevertheless it does work.

I put my Stack Racing bullitt fuel door on the other day and the screws on one side do not align up properly......though it does hold the door in place. You can only really tell when you stare at it. In hindsight, I probably should have ordered the FRPP bullitt fuel door for about the same price.....though still a decent product from Stack Racing......not as pleased with it as the replica roush grille though.
