Right from the start this was the only thing I didn't like about the 05, THE WING.
IMO it just doesn't belong on this car and if I had my way it wouldn't have been ordered, but considering I bought off the lot it came with the deal. So today I got out my tools and my wifes blow dryer and removed it once and for all. I went to Pep Boys and bought some small rubber caps and silicone and closed the holes until I can get it painted. But honestly it doesn't look bad at all as is, so I will be waiting until spring for the repaint on the decklid. And spending my money on performance mods until then. Tell me what you think?

Personally I think I'd rather see the spoiler on the decklid then the little rubber caps... but to each their own. Otherwise it looks like a pretty kewl solution!

Use touch up paint and coat the caps a few times and it will be less noticable.

Well I ordered mine spoiler delete so I think it looks better without it but I really don't care for the visable caps. JMO~

Looks 1000 times better! Even with the caps.
Like stoic21 said, put some touch-up paint on them.

I think I can deal with these caps for a month or two until I get it fixed and painted. Actually in person you can hardly notice them, unlike in the pictures. Hey what can I say, Im not a wing man. To each his own and I like mine plain. Im planning on ordering a ducktail from CDC as soon as they are available and I'll have this painted and installed by the shop doing the repair work. Thanks for all the compliments...................

You could always look for a ducktail spoiler which covers the factory boltholes, I believe a few do.

if I had a choice, I would also go no-spoiler, but there is no spoiler delete option in Canada

That would be the way I would go to

it doesn't really look bad with the caps, but a spoiler delete option would just be so much better

You should have done a decklid swap!!

Lilhog, I take it you didn't order this car, assuming you picked it straight from the forecourt? also, it the decklid still fibregrass?

I'm a spoiler fan but I am glad you are making your car the way you want it. Good job!
