Gang...I've been leaning more and more towards Redfire but still want to do stripes. I'm thinking Black probably but maybe white. Has anyone done the Shelby/Lemans Stripes on Redfire??? I've searched but I'm not getting any hits.
If you've got pics please share!!! I need to finalize some decisions and get with ordering my ride!!!
Thanks!

My vote would be the black ones over the white....Seems like black works better on the dark red and the white looks better with the torch...black worked out well on my hood so it will give ya some idea what the stripes would be like...I think it would look SWEEEET! Good luck with the mods guys!

John:
Your pics have been warming me to the Red with Black combo...I like the way your hood and other mods have come out. Just hoping someone has done this so I can see something besides a photochop (though I searched for that too and can't find).
I love the cool stripe painter utility we've all used but nothing compares to seeing the real deal on a TMS member's ride.
Thanks!
Greg

While I dont have my redfire GT yet, I have been looking into this as well. One of the top vinyl graphix guys in our area (does my friends company vehicles as well as a lot of race cars, trailers etc) can take a digital pic of the car and then show you (with a little bit more accuracy) various stripe packages (shelby boss, etc) on the car from various angles etc. I plan on sitting down with this guy for a while when I finally get my GT.
Good luck

I personally wouldn't think of striping my redfire GT. For me the colour/car is vibrant enough and doesn't need them. If I had to chose, I'd say either white or gold (I've seen a redfire GT with gold stripes....looks okay).

I'm kinda with you on that Dan, It's almost too cool to mess with. I'll have to do a real good photoshop of my monochromatic idea to see if it's doable.
But I have a feeling It'll stay as it is for quite for some time.

Silver!
I don't think black or white, or really any non-metallic color would work that well.

I am in the same boat with you guys on the stripes. I saw the older Mach 1 combo with gold down the side and thought it might look ok. The Boss combo isn't too bad either. I am going to wait for pictures before doing anything though.

Huh? There are several stock colors that are metallic from the factory.
Are you referring to vinyl? If so, there's always paint.

Thanks for the feedback gang...I'm still in a quandry, guess I'll wait until I see someone actually do something similar on the Redfire. I agree the color rocks and could probably live just fine without stripes but I'm kind of hung up on getting a stripe package on the ride. Oh well.

Somewhere on here there is a thread that allows you to mix -'n-match body colors with stripes. With a Redfire body, mineral gray might be good (maybe a little understated). What effect do you want - bold or subdued?

Hi Greg. I too have been wondering what color stripes to put on a Redfire GT. I would look into Gold stripes as well. Then you get the side stripes to say "GT 300H". The Gold stripes would make it look like a new Hertz Rent A Racer. I think it would look pretty good IMO. Whatever you choose, it will look great. Good Luck.
