Rear ut-oh!

Hey folks,
I got bumped in the rear. (s-197-GT)
Not bad enough for insurance but bad enough that I need a new rear bumper.
Since my paint code is D3 (no longer sold) I think a new-take-off bumper is out of the question. So my problem:
I need to either buy a take-off bumper in another color and have it painted? (expensive?)
Or buy a aftermarket bumper from a kit and have it painted? (expensive and expensive)

I am near broke and am broken hearted because my baby has a boo-boo!!!!

What would you guys do?

Also, there was a crease in the rear fender that I am doing the body work on, but I can't paint to save my life. So also, if anyone in the DFW area knows a good spray man, you can pass his name on as well.

Thanks for the help!

You can still find a factory take-off D3 rear bumper cover. You just have to make a few calls. They have everything available from 05 to current. I saw a yellow one up for grabs last week.

I'd make the guy that bumped me pay for it, and get a GT/CS bumper cover painted and installed without a penny out of my pocket... but that's me.

Unless I get hit by a friend, I always get insurance involved.
Way too easy to get screwed.

I've tried:
Nino Sport
and New-Takeoff.com

Does the factory sell them painted?

As for insurance:
Last time I filed, (someone backed into me) the other party claimed that I rear ended them AFTER THEY GOT THE TICKET. So my chicken poop insurance company decided to split the claim. I was like WTH! I didn't have to pay out of pocket by my rate went up a wee bit.

When this recent accident occurred, it was raining it's **** off, night time and I was late for an important event. I jumped out, looked at it. Talked to the guy and went about my way. I honestly thought the 5mph bumper had done it's job. The guy was sick over the bump but neither of us thought any damage was done.

Oh well, you'd think at the ripe old age of 36, I'd be smarter!!!!!

the person that hit you, do they have the same insurance company as you? If so that will make things so much easier.

Unfortunately, That isn't going to happen.
So if anyone knows a place to get a D3 painted take off bumper. That'd be great!
Thanks

You can also sue the other person in small claims court.
