Question Rear Medallion Replacement Opinions

What do you think of these 2 retro-mod emblems on the back of the 05-09's?

I am looking at smoothing out the back panel and came across these today and thought they would look real good.

I know they will require a little modding in the back, so that I can get it flush mounted to the panel, but I think the work needed will be worth it!

Give me your opinions. Good and Bad!

These are not Silverhorse Racing products. These are Scott Drake 1964-1973 billet gas caps.

The one I have is just a sticker. I wish someone would make one of these that would just replace the OEM part. I think it would look badass! If you get one to work, do a write up on how you did it cuz I would be interested in trying it as well. Good luck

I wish I could find a picture of the back side of it, to see how much work is involved.

I may just have to get one and dremel away!

How much are they? I know some of these replacement pieces can get expensive. I saw a OEM cap on eBay that looked similar to these for $300.

I assume this would not cover the license plate holes from the Saleen trunk panel, correct?

Rear Medallion

Here's mine. Figured one real gas filler was enough, didn't need a fake one on the rear.

No it wouldn't. I have 3 more holes in the back because of the Saleen panel. Luckilly I am gett a repaint job soon of the car and I am going to fill in the holes in the back. I am even thinking of filling in the key hole to smooth out the back. That way I have a clean canvas to do what I want out back.

theres some real nice center emblems on ebay, really nice clear bubble kinda decals that really look good for pretty cheap. my tri bar looked real bad so i covered it up with one. been a couple years so i dont remember who the place was but its held up nice and still looks good. i really like the plain chrome one from cj`s as it cover the key hole

Well, I placed an order for the rear emblem from CJ Pony Parts. It is on back order with them, so I will not see it probably for at least a couple weeks. Once I get it, i will put up some pictures of what it looks like on both sides and then figure out how I am going to mount the sucker.

Sounds like a plan! Do a 'How to' so everyone can copy your idea. Lol
