Rear end accent

Planning to put bright silver stripes only down the hood and front bumper on my black gt, and hockey sticks on each side. I'm thinking about a silver accent for the rear end and have bounced around a few ideas. Right now I'm wondering about picking up the SilverHorse Racing honeycomb panel for the trunk lid, and painting it silver. At first I thought the whole thing, but now Im thinking just the raised outline of each individual ?honeycomb?...sounds like a lot of work but it might come out real nice.

-im assuming i can paint with no problem...

-what do you guys think of that as a silver accent?

Hey relayagent, I love this color combo!

If you paint the honeycomb panel, paint the whole thing and go for the contrast.

Krylon comes in silver and is made for painting plastic. It comes in a spray can or a leafing pen if you want to paint just the raised outline. If you do paint just the raised outline of that panel you may also want to paint the outline of the front grill as well.

IMO , your idea of just painting the outline of each honeycomb silver might look good on black ...

thats what I'm thinking, should look pretty nice.. only thing is actually doing it and not making a mess out of it. you have to tape off every little hole?? not sure...

whatever you dont get the vinyl stripes from anyone, they dont last. save up and have them painted on. I am almost ready to take mine off as they are starting to fade pretty funky. good luck

Honestly, if I did get the honeycomb grill, I'd leave it alone so that it matched the front.

Since I have the chrome trim on my tail lights, what I plan to do is remove the rear medallion and replace it with a classic V8 emblem.

another alternative that i thought of first actually was to get a small ducktail and paint it completely silver, again the idea being to match my future stripes and continue the theme on the back of the car....
