"Raw" CDC chin spoiler - black plastic?
So I got my CDC Classic Chin Spoiler frm American Muscle yesterday. Their website says that it comes in a "natural urethane caramel color, pre-prepped and ready to be painted". (CDC's website calls it the "raw" version). However, mine seems to be BLACK PLASTIC (it's definitely NOT the painted textured black option). So what gives? Is this thing still "pre-prepped and ready to be painted"? Did any who recently bought one have the same experience?

Hi, once Rich paints his chin spoiler, you guys recommending any actions to help protect it from rock chips etc? The invisi-bra products seem so expensive, and the do-it-yourself versions off ebay are cheap and worthless. I wish there was a stripes-like-quality clear bra product made for the do-it-yourselfers.

^^^i thought i searched and saw some eBay kits that used the same 3m film and template that the installers use? this would be for regular car coverage however, and not for special pieces like chin spoilers

I plan on buying the bulk 3M kit from ebay - about $30. It looks to be the same film I have on my front end.

Or you can buy it directly from Xpel, the guys who did my front end:
