I searched and could not find anything, (unless i did the search wrong). I would like to raise my exhaust tips 1/2". How would one go about this? is this a muffler shop job?

hmmm, you want the stock tip to be closer so it has less of a gap???? why not get larger tips, or new exhaust???? but if you want to keep it stock then yes I would imagine a muffler shop could do it, they would cut your hangers and rehang the muffler at a shorter distance, but that might not work because it would put some tension on the rest of the pipes as they would suddenly be angled up at the back

Remove the rear hangers and then slide the muffler hang-rod into the upper portion of the hanger (in the slot above the circle), then reinstall hanger. That should raise (pull) your tips up another 1/2 inch.

But beware, that extra space that the rod has in the rubber grommet area, will now "possibly" cause the tips to have about 1/2 inch (R + L) play.

Apparently, they are supposed to be adjustable. I noticed after I had my car for a couple of months that the driver's side exhaust tip was about an inch and a half lower than the other side. I took it in and they fixed it under waranty
