Questions for those w/ Razors

Called on some American Racing Razors today and got a lil confused. For those of u running 20's, what is your offset and tire size. I currently have 255's on the front and 285 on rear. I want to stay w that size on 20's. Possible???? They made it seem as if 255 was it all around.

Colby, I have the +24mm (5.5 backspacing) offset on the rear and currently the +40mm (6.5 backspacing) on the front. I also run 255/20/35 front and have 275/20/35 on the rear/ I have also seen others run 285's on the rear as well. My car is lowered with Steeda Sport Springs with factory shocks in these pics. I have since added D-specs and still no clearance issues.

This is the best shot to show clearance. They where just installed right before this pic.

Great pics and info GPS. Does the 24 and 40mm offset give it a stagger look? Appears that way from the pics. Sooo 285 would fit fine with that setup or would the rear look rolled over the wheel to much?

As I mentioned I am running 285s on rear and 255 on front with 18x9.5 on rear and 18x8 on the front, which definitely staggers it.

Great looking car you have...I also have sport springs, but by Eibach..I'm sure they are pretty close to the same height, along with my Dspecs. Any other standard photos to show the setup?

It does give it a staggered look and makes the rears look even wider then they are. I think the 285's might not roll as much at the top as the 275's as I think they have a slightly wider contact patch. Here are more of the first day with them.

**** the car look naked in these pics LOL.

Great pics...What I was looking for. Now you have the AR Razors or the Shelby Razors (stamped in wheel)?

So how is the ride? Did you have 18's prior and if so, compare? Are you running your Dspecs stiff or a lil softer now with the 20's?

I know, lots of questions..lol, just trying to get them all out. Would you do any diff setup if you were to do it again? Like 40 series on the rear, etc??

The clear lens for the turn signals sure helped out alot. Where did you get those/how much? I need em..

here's a few pics of my setup. I would actually go a little wider on the front and taller or more side wall on the rear. Maybe a 35 or 40 series for the rear

Let me answer them in the quote.

I do believe the Shelby version now has a slight change to the offset to accomodate the big brakes on the GT500's. for example, the box on the +24mm says something like 24mm+2. The extra is for the front brakes. The +40 in would not work with big brakes at all.

So how is the ride? Did you have 18's prior and if so, compare? Are you running your Dspecs stiff or a lil softer now with the 20's? I had the stock 18" premium wheels before these. My tires where shot when I changed and the ride was horrible at the time so going to these the ride felt better so my comparison to 18's is not a good one. From what I hear though, 20's have a rougher ride. To me, it's nothing. I also am running the D-specs at about 5 and half turns out and they have a better ride the stock to me

I know, lots of questions..lol, just trying to get them all out. Would you do any diff setup if you were to do it again? Like 40 series on the rear, etc?? Actually, the +40mm in the front was a mistake. I didn't realise until they where on the car so I had them make sure the two of them went to the front but now that they are on there, I like them. I wanted +24 all the way around because I like beefier look.

The clear lens for the turn signals sure helped out alot. Where did you get those/how much? I need em.I got them on eBay, tons of sellers on there, well, at least there was 2 years ago..

Thanks for all the answers, which now make me have to ask another..

Would the 24mm offset up front make them stick out more, or less? Just trying to figure out how the spacing works. I know from my setup, I couldnt run anymore out closer towards my fender or it would rub since its so low.

+24 up front make them stick out past the fender slightly but having 255's int he front keeps the tires under the fender.

I also should mention, down here in FL, we don't have a whole lot of bumpy roads since we don't have snow plows chewing them up every winter. If your in an area with lots of bumpy roads, the +24mm up front may not be a good choice.

This is one of the CS6 protoypes and has the +24mm on the front. I think these are BF Goodrich 265's in the front.

And this car has the 255 on +24mm up front I think. Just bear in mind, if you have or plan on big brakes in the front, you will need +24 for the fronts if you go Razors.

Thanks for all the info guys..Appreciate it. Going to toss my current wheels/tires on Craigslist and also on the forums here..>Soooo if you know of anyone....

I think I will either go with a stagger...245 up front/275 or 285 in rear or do 275 all the way around with the offset of 24 in front and 40 in rear.

Im going to toss up another thread about tires, so if you have any input...

I would go 275 all the way around before I went with the small 245 on the front.

ok I'll shed some input on here.

I'm running the 24MM shelby razor wheels on all 4 corners. I'm running 265/35/20 Nitto555 Tires, because Shelby told me that was the largest tire I could run safely on these rims, they didnt recommend any bigger. I also kept the same size everything for tire rotations and extended tire life.

the 24MM wheels sits flush with the fenders and really gives it a great look. I'm lowered with the Steeda Sport springs and Tokico D Specs and the ride is a dream! much better than stock. I'm in New Jersey with a lot of bumpy roads and if you feel that the 24MM may rub on the fenders, they wont! I haven't had a problem in over a year, espeically with my suspension setup

I'm running the same after seeing your setup!

The difference in visual width from 265 to 275/285 is miniscule, so may as well keep the tire rotation an option.

Mav, your stance looks sweet. Do me a fav..I want to see which kit (Steeda vs Eibach is lower). Measure from your front and rear fender to the ground and tell me what the distance is. I would think 275's would fit just fine. I have 285's on my 9.5 wheels, so 275 on a 9 would be just fine.

Wouldn't 40mm spacing on the rear make the rear stick out a lil more as well? Sorry for all these questions, I just want to get it right before ordering them, then having issues.

Thanks TacoBill for your help also in your PM. Looks sweet. Do you have them same lowering kit?

You can see how tucked in my front tire is..Its a 255 on a 18x8 wheel though..Thats why I was concerned that a 265 or 275 wouldn't fit upfront, due to the fender clearance.

I'll see what I can do about getting around time to take a tape measure to it.

remember, the smaller the number offset, the more its going to stick out. the bigger the number, the more it tucks in thats what i was told and if I recall, the eibach springs sit a tad lower than the steeda springs. my steeda springs dropped me .75" in the front and 1.25" in the rear

Wow, Eibach Sportlines are 1.6" in front and 2" in rear. I guess I just need to run down to Schwabs and see what they can fit on there.
