I have been looking all other the place for some 18x9 bullit rims and I only find the aftermarket OE products on Ebay or Replica Wheels with the incorrect offset. I have played with the offset calculator and I am confusing myself.

My questions is for those experts out there- How much would the 18x9 with the offset of 25MM+ affect the turning ratio on the front end and would it sit flush to the outside fender (similar to the front end of the MRT Interceptor prior to SEMA)

Here is an example: (using offset calculator) stock 17x8 with 45MM offset VS 18x9 with 25MM+

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 7mm MORE
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 33mm

Compared (17x8 with 45MM offset VS 19x9.5 with 35MM offset) that discountire.com states would fit the car without problems or issues

The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 9mm LESS
The outside edge of the wheel will EXTEND an extra 29mm

Any help would be greatly appreciated-rc

There is a hair over 28mm of clearance for the strut/tire. You need about 7mm for flex, so you can move in about 21mm. There is about 16/17 mm clearance to the fender lip at stock camber.
You can probably only fit that tire and wheel (on a lowered 05GT) with camber plates and an special strut.

That is exactely what I thought, I was going to order the AR rebels in 18x9 with the +25 offset but when I saw the pictures of them on a 2005 mustang I thought they looked too far out, I want to install the Eibach Pro springs on the car (1") drop and I was fearing that I would get too much rubbing.

I have since decided to go with just an 18x8 with a +40 offset, Motgei DPK

well AR insists the tires fit properly but to put this debate to rest, because I am trying to get something that looks good, I am getting a set test fitted to see if they will or will not look good on the stang. A lot of manufacturers are using an offset of 25 or 30 and for what I have seen you do not want to get a wider rim with the same offset. You need to have a different offset to keep the proper backspacing.
