Question for folks with GT 500 front fascia

You folks who have light colored cars and have installed the GT 500 front fascia (Rob and Jesse), there is part of the radiator support that has two holes in it and can bee seen if you look through the grill from directly in front.

Did you guys paint it flat black? Or do something else with it?
It's not a big thing, but it's starting to bother me. My car is Satin Silver and it shows up pretty well. And, it may not be too easy to get a spray can in there without removing the grille.

I took Jesse's advice and when the facia was off I masked off alot of the area between the headlights and masked off the radiator and went at it with the flat black rustoleum. You will be really pleased with the result.

Carputz, thats how I started. Center fogs and then GT500 front and rear, less hood. Youll love it. Do it asap since they keep raising the prices. I might be selling my GT500 headlights and lower grill soon so let me know when you are ready and Ill let you know if I am as well.

Paint can hide anything.

I'll take another look today. Maybe I can still get in there with a paint brush.

I have a Satin Silver Mustang with GT500 front end conversion and it's definitely visible. If someone made a clip on cover that would hide the silver part, that would be pretty cool and would by one in a heartbeat. I'm not too comfortable with painting it, and at that I would take it somewhere to have it done.

I just sprayed that support the other day with matte black. It worked out fine. Just masked off parts, and put newspapers behind. All the paint went where it was supposed to, and the support is no longer visible. I think you can do it James. I am definitely not a great painter, and it came out just fine.

Sorry to get back to you so late but I just moved to England. At any rate just tape it off and spray paint it. That is what I did and it adds a nice touch.

good luck
Jesse

Ditto, sorry I'm late in responding too.........What they said .......Sounds like you already did it. That's how I cured the problem too.

Thanks guys. Yes, the touch up with matte black did the trick. Looks much better now.

Jesse, England? Can you bring your car and drive it there? Without moving the steering wheel that is. Anyway, good luck, and remember to keep left. When we were on vacation and had a rental car, my wife had to put a sign on the dash saying KEEP LEFT with an arrow, for my benefit.
