Question about this hood and saleen's
^ Yeah, I saw the underside of the Saleen hood and it "channeled." There is a hole by the front of the engine that leads inside an big "U" tunnel (for lack of a better word) out to the vents.
I wouldn't worry about getting the engine wet though. What do you think happens when you drive over puddles?

There's another company that has an imitation of the Saleen hood, vents look almost the same, just wider. I can't remember where though... we should start a thread with all the different hoods and the sources/companies producing them, it would avoid all these questions
I doubt it hurts anthing if the water that goes straight through will not collect in the valey of the engine. You just don't want puddles to collect, water just hitting the valve covers and draining off shouldn't hurt anything, and those look like they are in completely harmless areas of the engine bay. Still dont know what the scoop is supposed to be scooping though

I think you would definitely be getting more water in your engine compartment through the vents than driving through a puddle. If you can, just don't drive it in the rain! Makes it much easier to keep your engine compartment clean too.
