Question about adjusting exhaust tips
Question about adjusting exhaust tips
My passenger side exhaust tip sticks out about a 1/2" further then the drivers side.
The service manaul says to adjust the tips, loosen the two bolts that secure the exhaust coupler located at the back of the H Pipe make adjustments but to be sure before tightening the sleeve that the intermediate pipe is still in the cross hatched area. Does anybody know how much adjustment is available from front to back at the intermediate pipe coming out of the sleeve at the back of the H Pipe assembly?
I want to know before I attempt this procedure to determine if it can even be adjusted.

Ha! I'm surprised somebody else noticed this as well. The exhaust tip on my driver's side sticks out about 0.5in too and it seems to hang alittle lower. At first it bothered me but after looking at other mustangs, I noticed they were the same way. It's not really noticeable unless you stare at it. I figured the mismatch is just due to build tolerance. I didn't know it could be adjusted, so now I'll look into it.
