After I put the front plate on I shed a tear. I was going to risk it without the front plate and wait till I got pulled over but I did it anyway. It was a good thing because 2 minutes later i was stared up and down by a cop on the side of the road itching to pull people over.

oh yeah i put a 3/16" thick adhesive sided silicone blanket on the back of each plate to prevent damage from the plate.

I had a black plastic front plate mounting plate from my [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif[/img] Honda that I never used. It covers the back side of the plate and has a small lip that surrounds the sharp edges of the plate. I also bent it over my knee to make it sit flush against the bumper. The tape is a good idea though.
