Here's my V6 after adding foglights and 17" Bullitt wheels. I'll get better pics sometime when it isn't raining.

Yep, those are the Walmart lights Mr Wick found. I also found the wireless switch and wiring harness at Walmart. Total for everything was $50.

They look good.

Is that a 5.0 in your driveway?

Also, are the lights slightly smaller than stock GT?

How exactly do you turn them on and off? I wasn't clear what you meant by the wireless thing you were talking about, I did see that you can get the headlight/fog switch from the GT on ebay.

The wireless switch is actually a little key fob. The kit has a wiring harness that connects a receiver that you mount under the hood to your power source and lights. Using this, you don't have to run any wires through the firewall. Works great.

The lights are 5", so they are smaller than GT lights.

The 5.0 is a 93 GT Convertible.

Looks like we were doing the same thing this weekend, flight96. I agree, the size seems just right for the grille.

I find it kind of funny that you only see the right rear corner of the car and automatically know that the car looks sweet.

BTW, this seems like an excellent mod for us V6ers. I'm going to have to give this a try eventually.

OK...Heres what I did.

I got the Blazer C120 lights. Got 2 hole saws, one 5" and one 4 3/4"...Heres is where you will benefit from my mistake...DON"T use the 5"...Its too large. Use the 4 3/4" Its perfect. I drilled the holes while the grille was still in the car. It was easy to get the alignment right, I just went by the honeycombs and measured from the outside of the grille. After I drilled the holes I took out the grille...Be careful when you do this!! Take your time,be patient. The clips come out easy once you get the hang of it. If you can get your hand behind the grille, just pull up on the tab, and GENTLY pull on the grille with your other hand...you will feel a slight pop....move on to the next tab...Again..be patient..I can't stress that enough. :nono: After I got the grille out I placed the lights in the holes with the mount side up. I did it this way for easy access to the wiring as well as they seemed to sit better that way. Next I used an epoxy urethane rubber repair kit that we use for repairing plastic/rubber bumpers. Its a 2 part epoxy that sets up fast and very simple to use.(I forget the name right now, I will post it when I go to the shop). I did drill one hole through the grille and into the mount on each light casing, just for piece of mind. Using blackhead flat screws. You can't see them unless your about 2 " away from the grille and looking for them. The whole process took me about 2 hours and cost me less than $ 60.00 Cdn. I haven't finished the wiring yet, im still deciding how I want to do it...switch or remote.

I hope this helps anyone interested in doing this mod. I think it looks great. If you want more info please let me know...If I can help ya I will!! GOOD LUCK !!

Hi,

Thanks for all the info.!
I went to Walmart today, and saw the utility lights. Was going to get them, then realized that I didn't knew what else I needed! I noticed you mentioned a wiring harness and also a wireless switch. What do these things look like? I looked around, but I saw nothing that I could imagine being either of those things. Do you remember the actual name of the products?

Thanks for your help!
