No offense bro but posting that in relevance to what is done on the car that is in the original post is just stupid. If you don't like the car that's cool but to try to put down his car down by posting stupid azz ricer pics is just annoying. If you don't want to look at his car then don't. But troll somewhere else

I agree with both of you really. I have to respect the first car bc of how retro it looks but it really does look like a lot of things are stuck on. I think if it was scaled down and made a little sleeker it would look nice. I'm in the middle haha

I have no problem with not liking a look of any car but posting a picture in an obvious attempt to stir the pot gets on my nerves. I stay off of some of the mustang sites because of crap like this. If you don't like the car, say what you need to say and move on. Typically if I don't like a car I keep it to myself because opinions are like azzholes and who the heck am I to tell anyone what to do with their car? Just my 2 cents

I am just saying it adds nothing to the car to have two spoilers.. no reason to be hurt. no one called a baby ugly here. Its not retro to have a auto zone car. its not retro to have a busy looking car since the cars its trying to be like are simple and clean looking.

That's the point of the "double wing" (which it really isn't) in a retro form.

Then I'd do a set of modern Magnum 500 style wheels with teh BOSS striping and the louvers. And of course, the '69-79 style hood, though I'd do a shaker rather than the BOSS 429 style scoop, though it IS retro:

Some people do not understand or care to understand retro. The S-197 was designed as a throw back to the late 60's early 70's models.

The comment about the Autozone is just plain stupid when you see what some idiots do to their cars. How about everyone that posts on these boards include a up to date picture of their ride, so that when you make these uncalled for comments, we can really see what you are doing/have done to your car.

I'll probably never own a classis 60's-70's Mustang, so this is how I want my car to look. I am not 100% sold on the hood scoop. I bought the Cervinis B9 scoop and when it gets here I will see how it looks. I am planning on having some type of hood blackout, so the scoop will go with the car, but I am not sure if it is too big or not. I currently have a factory hood with a Roush scoop on it, so I am used to having a scoop

I cannot put a Shaker on the car as I currently have the FRPP intake manifold and I really do not care for the Shaker. I would have to cut a hold in the CDC/Foose hood for the Shaker since there is no hole and that would get expensive to finish off.

Maybe I should just smooth out the quarter windows and remove the glass/opening. I came across a 07 GT on Kijiji that had this done and it looks pretty good. It would cost a lot of money though to have that window shaved and smoothed out!

I disagree. Its more the 65-68 than 69-73. The later ones had no quarter window (among other reasons).

And I've been trying to figure out what you meant by "double spoiler". I finally get it you are talking about a ducktail. Never really considered the ducktail a spoiler.

IMO

You are actually correct on the years. But by adding certain things to the 05-09 cars you get a close replica of the 69-73's look, which is what I am after. You can do so much with these cars it is just ridiculous.

Ford took cues from all generations of mustangs(mostly early) to make the older 2005-09 mustangs.

It doesnt look like the old car is all I am trying to say. The new car is not a fastback which is a huge part of the styling. The point was still missed.. tossing parts on a car in a obvious doesnt add anything but glaringly obvious eye sores. Its like when a chef makes a fine meal.. the salt and pepper added should be light if any and not a fist full of pepper corns.

requested pic of car for bashing

And yet the '69/70 BOSS 302 side stripes look right at home on it, and it's pretty close to being a fastback.

And of course, you did say, "you have to choose one spoiler or the other," and yet Ford themselves did not. They had the ducktail AND pedestal on the same car, as the pics I posted prove. So doing both on the cars does have precedence in factory options. And yes, the rear of the '05-09 cars is an homage to the '69-70 cars, rather than the '65-68 cars, even though the interior is more '67. And we already look to the '70 styling with the headlight splitter mod, so it really is a precedent, even in the Salen PJ editions, to look back to the '69-70 cars for updating styling cues:

Basically don't say he can't use those cars as inspiration when we do it on this site every day.

that stripe would work on a honda civic so thats not really a selling point. I still saying it doesnt work since on the 2005-09 model the deck spoiler site to far forward because of the large duck tail. Its simply how I think and it shouldnt sway anyone from what they wish to do to a car that they own.

What should of happened is people in the thread should of went "oh he doesnt like it." and moved on with the thread instead of getting angry.

No actually I believe you should have said "I don't like it and moved on" posting the rice double spoiler picture was just a really douche thing to do. So you don't like the look. We get it... Nuf said.

I'm not getting angry, I'm just saying your reasoning is mistaken.

Big pimpin how come you haven't posted any pics of your car. I think it would settle a little of this debate. Both sides have good points, but your car has the retro styling without being an "autozone car".

Trying to be a peace maker haha.
