Project Cost?

So i have been thinking about buying a new v6 with the appearance package but as i looked further into it it seems a little pricey at $2395. My next thought was that i could just buy a v6 with the basic exterior and put on a roush front bumper and maybe a gt takeoff rear with a magnaflow dual exhaust. Since im new to modding cars how much does everyone think it would cost me to get the roush bumper painted and to get it all installed?

Ever consider a used GT?
They are about the same price as a new V6.
Just saying.....

Also, body shop prices will vary according to your area. You might want to find a local club and ask around for suggestions on shops/estimated pricing.

You'd be suprise. I went form a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT to the Mustang GT and ended up paying about $50 more over 6months. So about a $100 increase for the entire year. My dad with a 2006 Dodge Dakota pays more then me. Did I mention I was 19 when I got the GT and am now only 20? Call some insurance places.

I paid 400 to have the roush front fascia prepped ,painted, and installed. They did a crap job so I ended up going w/ a custom painter that cost an extra 700 to do a perfect job..bottom line, don't always go for the cheaper price Go w/ a bone stock (except interior) and add what you like...

I have the stock, boring cloth interior in my gt, but I just installed the IUP steering wheel, shifter and have the complete leather interior on order(OEM take off)..I think the contrast from the black dash to the wheel/shifter looks even better than the alum dash look..wheel and shifter were $200 total and the ford leather $299, just a thought, u can get the interior really nice for $500, might be better to pay for exterior upgrades now if you dont mind doing the interior bits urself..
