Problems with Street Scene Grill

Hi All,

I recently tried to install a Street Scene grill (plastic center foglight mount grill, P/N 950-73595) on my 2007 GT coupe and ran into a problem. The instructions with the grill say that there's a tight fit between the driver's side foglight and the body. In my instance, there's more than a tight fit - it really doesn't fit all all. When I installed the grill, the foglight is pushed down at the back so that its aiming at the sky and its impossible to adjust. I suppose I could remedy it by grinding out a recess in the bodywork, but I'm a little reluctant to do that. Anybody else run into this problem?

I looked on Street Scenes website and both the GT and V6 carry the same part number for the center foglight grill. I would advise you to take both grills off and compare them side by side, because they might have sent you a v6 grill.

My left foglight is a VERY tight fit, the clip for the wiring harness is touching the piece of metal you're talking about. When I get a little time, I'm going to bend that piece of metal back a bit (be careful working around it, it's VERY sharp!).

If you remove the fog light bulb you will see three tabs used to align the bulb and maintain tension. Grind off the smallest of the tabs and this will allow the bulb to swing down and away from the bodywork. There is still plenty of tension to maintain a proper fit.
