On my SD ones, I noticed the red was not as deep as other's and talked to SD's service(unbelieveably fast and great btw ) They are sending me replacement inserts(no base). If you call them you can probably order just the super-thin insert, would be awesome for valve covers or grille inserts.

Yah 20 bucks, the only reason there 300 bucks is that people are stupid enough to pay it. IF they wouldnt sell, then price would come down. So if you actually like them, dont buy, them maybe someday they will be down to regular price. I am sure its all a gimmick, they probably have a warehouse full of these, releasing a pair a week and living on it,LOL. Later all. I like them, but for reg price. I got a lot better things I can spend that much money on. For example some more SHR real billet pieces, hence real.

The only ones that I have seen released lately were from members here on this forum who bought some and are selling them on ebay. I don't see any company selling them anymore..

Wow, if you really think about it: bi-xenon hids, GTA's, Billet grille, window tint, chin spoilers, hurst shifter, etc. Lotta stuff fits in the <$300 mod bucket.

It's all about having something that you normally can't have. You can buy all of those other mods all day long and will likely see another car with the sames pieces as yours. With these there is a MUCH higher likelyhood you'll never run across another car with them (excepting an SGT). The story is true, there was a goof by the manufacturer who sent them to Ford when they should have gone to Shelby. They're licensed by Shelby and will never be available through Ford dealers. You know, you could build a couple of killer GTs for the price of one GT500...sometimes you have to pay to play.

Not to diss on the people who like them but...I sold mine because they looked like TRUCK emblems to me. Now, if only I had a few more sets to sell I could get some stuff I really want.

I saw a Shelby GT Saturday and have to admit they are nice but not worth more than maybe a hair over retail I would be afraid they would walk off like my Harley badges did when I bought my 2002 Supercrew, the night I picked it up I lost the tailgate an hour later.

Rich's used ones sold for just over $250... a deal and a half compared to the brand new ones for $364+! I bet those will end up over $400 based on the time left on the auction.

The winning bid $515.25.

Man, I was thinking about hanging on to my last pair, but I may have to reconsider.
