I've had a few people ask me when I was going to stripe my car, I just don't know if I want it striped though. I agree it would look great, but I kind of like it the way it is. It's always an option later on though.

Here's mine. I painted the center section, but the shop did not want to do it at first because of the texturing. The center section is textured and painted black from Ford.

Are you sure that the center is painted or is it just the color of the material that the facia is made from? It looks like from the middle picture above that the sides are primed.

The side parts are textured as well.

I let my painter make that decision about the center section.Since it was textured he felt it would look O.K. I have always trusted his decisions. He did paint that section with a flat black. Then he covered it with a flat clear coat.

The gray is primer and the black section seemed to be painted as well. Part of the reason I painted the center was the black section was scratched.

Yes, the sides are textured, but my body shop did not like the idea of painting the center section since it seemed more so than the sides.

This is close to what GRYPNY was looking for, but the stripes don't come all the way down.

I'm wondering if anyone has painted the front end like the picture below yet?

In the center pic in Tispco's post, you can see the tape marks above the center section. This area comes painted black from the factory, just like the center section of the rear bumper does. The rest of that bumper is still in the raw abs, before primer.

I don't know why so many people have had body shops say they were worried about painting the textured section, cars have been coming from the factory with textured body panels for years. All brands, not just Ford.

Anyway, that looks great painted red, beautiful job.

Happy flaming.

I like the look of these cars with the GT/CS front, doesn't matter to me what engine is under the hood. That's what these cars should have looked like to begin with.

Now Now..as I watch all the CS conversions come up its like watching a good movie...don't you have popcorn while watching a good show.If I offended you by have having some micro wave popcorn while watching all the cool cars come up thats unfortunate.I know you enjoy your car,its very nice.
Right now I'm having some home made fried chicken with some flaMING HOT bbq sauce sent from Kansas City.
