Please help: Silver stripes?

I've seen a few different shades of silver/grey for the stripes on a black Mustang. I believe I've seen tungsten, satin, etc... which do you prefer? I'd love to see pics. I have to call the shop back tomorrow with the paint code for the color I choose. (painted)

Please help.

Man, thats a flip of the coin for me....I like them both!

Did you check out the "stripes" thread sticky at the top of the page? A lot of different combinations to choose from.

BTW, where are the pics of your "new" car, we want to see them

I think Tungsten Grey on Black is a really good look. Ford has it as an option on the GT500, so it definitely looks good. I will say though, in different lighting, my car has the look of Satin Silver on Black. It's all personal choice, but I believe Tungsten looks better and it doesn't contrast as much as Satin would.

I like Tungsten (or any smoky gray) on Black-- gives the car a more subtle look (without the near-invisibility of matte black on gloss black).

I color matched the engine cover. Its more of an argent metallic.(I know its not a black GT but I thought this shade of gray/silver might give you another option.)

Thanks guys... I was up all night last night doing research and I think I agree with you. Tungsten is the way to go here. Satin is too light.

Now, about the GT500 stripe dimensions. Some claim them to be 10", some 11".... and some claim the gap to be 1" and some claim it to be 1.5".

I will post a few pics up shortly.

Have you thought about alloy? It looks great on black.....very subtle. You have to be close to the car to see it, but it's very cool.

Good thought, but that's TOO subtle for me. I'm thinking Tungsten or maybe one small shade darker than tungsten. How about stripe dimensions? Anyone? Bueller? Do I just go with 10" stripes with 1.5" gap?

Here Dan, this may help

Also, on a black car I really like the darker stripes such as tungsten as well. Silver looks good too IMO, but I love the tungsten stripes a lot more.
