The best way to do it is buy plasti dip in a can and use a cheap plug in spray gun. Check out www.dipyourcar.com

Anyway, for doing larger surfaces like your roof I've heard that it's really tough to get even results spraying right out of the can. Do like Zak says and look into dipyourcar.com and check out their kits that include a spray gun thing.

You guys are lucky. It's so cold here you couldn't spray it if you wanted to.
My question is: has anyone sprayed their flat/ribbed decklid panels with it?
The factory flat black paint doesn't hold up too well.

I've done my decklid medallion with it, and have had no problems with it adhering to sort of 3 dimensional shapes if that's what you're asking. Just make sure you're adjusting the angles you're spraying from as you go so that you're getting even coverage on all the different angles of the piece and it should be no problem.
