Also those chrome tail light bezels that are for sale for $70 ( to much $$) I used the same stuff on my grill, tail lights and the exhaust trim.
total cost $ 30 for the trim with the adhesive included.
Where did you get this trim? What are the dimensions of the trim (width)?

3/8" Wide Half Round, Chrome Body side molding. Sold by the Foot, 20' Roll, 50' Roll or 150' Roll. (You will only see it in Black on the website. Call them for chrome.)

I found mine here: http://www.b-dco.com/

Here's what I used. I got the truck edge trim because it was a little longer and it looked a little wider too, although I can't verify that.

Here's what I got:

Or, to make things easier so you can find it, or get a different kind:

The chrome edge guard measures 5/16" top to bottom and 1/4" side to side, not a chance I could get the stuff to flatten out to figure it that way, pinches really hard.

Hope that helps.

Slick thread!

Gotta love the ubercheap mods that just look amazing

I was wondering about chrome trim on an S197 until the PJ came out and ever since then I've known its the way to go. All these cars look great!
