wouldn't it defeat the purpose of the shaker to have CAI? would it be possible to have them both be functional?

The shaker, when installed with the factory air intake is a closed cold air induction system. Therefore, only outside air is sent to the throttle body versus the C&L, JLT, MMR, etc kits that end up getting warm air from the engine bay. So to call those CAI kits is kinda misleading. Anyway, I plan to fabricate a new filter housing for the MMR intake so it remains a closed system, giving me better performance.

CDC claims the shaker gives the new GT a 2% gain when used with the factory air intake, which is 6 hp.

THAT LOOKS SWEET!!!

So are you gonna paint that baby?
I'm thinking you wont because of the awesome job you did rounding off the stripes around the shaker
Well I was thinking about it, but the more I look at it, I like it black. It blends in with the mirrors and the grill.

AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE ! It keeps getting better. ? Question , do you scrape at all when going over speed bumps or driveways? It looks pretty low. Anyway great jop and hope you can get a video of the shaker.
I'm pretty careful. So far no scrapes and I always go up driveways at an angle. Car sits 4.5" off of the ground, so ya, it's kinda low.

Currently they don't have a kit for the V6 but said they are working on one. The kit was $795.00.

That is what I first thought, but I think she took the pictures as a reminder so 5 years from now she can look at the picture and say "remember when you ......."

Very nice, gotta take it back to the spot to take pics where you took the other pics!

BTW, what is the width on your stripes, where'd you get them, and how much space is between them? (link me if you've already posted)

John, your car is INCREDIBLE!

Just like Dave's (Burke0011) and John's (05 GT O.C.D.) down in Florida, they just keep getting better each time you post pix. I'd be jealous, but jealousy is bad. So I'll settle on being awed and supportive of your enhancements to date!

I can only hope to get "Lucky" to turn as many heads. Don, you're brave to take a sharp implement to your hood! Thanks for your input. You and John are pioneers and we all appreciate it more than you could know. :worship:

OK, spinners are installed but as usual it is raining so the pics are garbage. 2 things are very obvious now...

1. I need to polish my rims
2. The back tires don't have as much tread as they use to. Wonder how that happened.

Not sure where I posted them but anyway...

The stripes are 10 3/4" wide with a 1" gap. 3M automotive vinyl (2 mil). I cut them from stock. I had the sign shop cut the stock 15" vinyl down to 10 3/4" I then installed them and cut around the emblem and rear license plate recess with a razor blade (not fun). After getting my street scene kit I had to redo the vinyl on the bumpers. Just so you know, the lower section of the rear bumper is paint. I didn't want to do it in vinyl because it would have been too many seams.

Edit:

Looks like the wife is right when she says I spend too much time on the car. Guess I'd better clean that lawnmower.

I can't stop. It is a disease and buying parts is like medication. It gives me a fix for a bit but then I need more medication

I'm sure that piece of metal wouldn't have fallen off your car if you didn't take a saw to the hood. Just an observation.

I'm not gonna be jealous... I'm just going to pretend my car is better than his.

... That reminds me. I agreed to cut the grass tomorrow
