I don't like being another person that says exactly the same thing about your car being so nice, but I will cause it's just so sweet.

For me, the hard part was the drilling pilot hole... after that, there was no turning back!!

John... how were the fins on yours? I had two damaged fins on mine. I e-mailed CDC last night, and asked them to send me a new one. They said they were going to ship me a replacement today! Great service!!

I also described some of the installation obstacles I ran into. I didn't write it as a b!tch session, rather as constructive feedback that they hopefully could use to make future improvements in the product. The reply I got back said that my comments would be "forwarded to our R&D, Quality and Tech Departments for review."

does it shake much? My dad has a 70 Mach 1 with the shaker, i doubt its comparable, but would be interested in a comparison. Video is good

how many HP does everyone estimate this will add?

It moves, but not like the old classics would, of course. You can see it torque over to the passenger side when you get on it, and it does "shake" some at idle and while cruising. I don't have a video of it.

I doubt there is any measurable hp gain... but, then again, I didn't put one on for hp.

Who say's Canadians don't have any cahones? Man, yours must be the size of grapefruits... I'd need to have a spare hood laying around in order to get the testicular fortitude to do that to my car.

I love that pic of you doing it in your driveway... and my neighbor's though I was  for drilling the holes in my trunk for my ducktail.

Great job, I'm looking forward to hearing if you get any extra H.P.'s.

Did you do anything to the underside and edges for rust prevention?

Very cool.

Oh yeah, your car is far from rice. As stated, that can only be someone's jealousy talking. Probably someone trying to convince his girlfriend that your car doesn't look as good as it does...

So what was he driving and how far was he behind you when you hit 3rd?

The hood is aluminum.

OK, well how was it finished off? A little piece of rubber weatherstripping?

The kit comes with a 2-pc plastic trim ring that covers the cut line by 1/2" on top, about 1" underneath. I didn't do anything to the cut except use a file to deburr it.

Your work looks great. That being said maybe because it is pictures and not in person, but the shaker looks too small for the length and width of the car. I guess i would have to see it in person. You did a heck of a jov installing that and i msut say definately not riced out at all

Fortunately there is no damage on my fins. They could have done a better job packaging these things.

I also wrote them an email about that bracket. Hopefully something is done about it.

I used a deburrer (spelling) and then primed the cut area to prevent oxidization (not that I really expected any). Then installed the trim ring which uses 2 sided tape on the hood side. The bottom section snaps into place and then you use 4 rivets to attach the top and bottom trim rings together.

Definately does not shake like the old shakers would. The motor does not move as much as the old ones. You can see it move a little even under idle. You can hear the air being stinked into it (I thought that was cool). When driving down the road every bump you hit the thing moves around. Shows you how much the motor moves when driving.
