Here's my primer hood pic.......

This pic is when i first installed the hood. Notice the huge gap.

This is how the hood looks now. This is as close of a view that I currently have of both fenders and the hood.

It's not a 100% perfect but it's more than good enough for me.

Yeah you can definitely see the difference. It's hard to tell just how high it sits from the pics, but the panel gaps are obvious. Here are some angle shots of mine that really show how it is:

Any info on where you bought the hood? I like the look you are putting together...I have been debating a hood change from stock w/CDC hood scoop, to either a shaker set-up or a CS style hood.

Here some more pics Cavero. Sorry I didn't get up close pics like you, and on top of that they are cell phone pics.

If you look at the corner of my hood, the back of my hood did the opposite of your hood. My hood was warped up and your hood warps down at the back.

From this pic its hard to see but my whole hood when I first installed it was above the fender. Your hood looks like it only does it in the middle.

Thanks, be sure to check out my "The Big 60000 mile upgrade " thread for the whole project. Yeah I got it from Late Model Restoration supply. Be warned, these hoods are only made in small batches and ship directly from Shelby, so after you order it, give them 4-6 weeks to make it and ship.

Ok here are this mornings pics.....

As you can see in the pics, the hood has layed out in form pretty good. It's not a 100% perfect but it will do for me.

Awesome. Aside from the slightly bigger panel gaps, I really don't see much of an issue. If mine turns out that good, I'll be happy. I can see the paint match is great, can't see a difference in the pics.

The hood is already starting to level out after 3 days in the sun. It looks like I won't get to take the car in this week, probably since my fiance's fuel pump died in her car. don't want to tempt fate with both of us depending on a 30 year old motorcycle and her mom's car.

When I had the hood painted I had them blend the fenders in so the paint would match. I could oval the fender srew holes out if I wanted the fender gap tighter, but it's too **** haot in Aridzona to even think about working on the car.

How much did the blending cost?

Just for posterity I thought I'd follow up. A couple months later the hood meshes much better with the fenders, although they still gotta be tucked. But unless you go up to the car, it's really tough to see:

Oh and just for the record: the CS6 hood with the CDC aggressive chin = AWESOME.

You won't have to take the bumper off to do the clear/smoked corners....just unscrew a couple bolts holding the wheel liner in place and reach in to change them.

That would be a 1982 Honda V45 Sabre (VF750S). Awesome all-around bike:

Nice looking bike, a real classic. Although...technically we're supposed to be enemies with this combo
