Pics of Shelby CS-6 hood with CDC Aggressive Chin Spoiler?

Anyone have pics of a car with the Shelby CS-6 hood and CDC aggressive chin spoiler? I've saved up some money and with my tax return coming up, I think I'll have enough to finally get the CS-6 hood. But before I do, I'd like to see what it looks like with a CDC aggressive chin spoiler (I've got one installed) first. Thanks

NICE! That's almost exactly what I was looking for! (I was hoping for pics in tungsten). This gives me the idea I need, and I think it's definitely going to be a 'go'. I think I'm going to round off the car with a CS rear bumper (my stock one's damaged anyway) and eventually get some vapor silver stripes

Sounds like a great combo (stripes and all). If you pick those up, you'll have to post some pics.

Getting ready to pull the trigger on the hood. Still shopping around for a good price for the stripes, although I might have found a good place.

Does anyone know how long a typical body shop would need to install, sand & fit, and paint the hood? This car's my daily driver so I can't be without it for too long.

When my hood done it took 4 days. That was stripping the color and repaint. I cant imagine it taking much longer than that unless the hood you get is poorly made.

No, but you can make it functional. I would imagine a body guy would co$t some big bucks, unless you know some one that can do fiber glass work.

Wade, nice looking car. I like how you painted the inset black. Very unique touch. Seeing how it looks in Tungsten helps me see that if I can't swing the stripes right now, it'll still look pretty good

Stripes will look awesome. So many Stangs have stripes down here in Arizona, so I decided to do something different.

Well, step one is half done. I've got my hands on a GT500 bumper (off a real '07 GT500 too). Now I just need to get the hood and make arrangements with the paint shop

(you might have seen this pic in another thread asking how to smooth out the textured bottom trim)

WE'RE BACK IN BUSINESS!!!

I just got the hood today and had a buddy help me install it. I'm going to cover the rest of the upgrade process here: The Big 60K Upgrade

By the way when I took off the aluminum hood my thought was DAAAMN that's light! The shelby feels about 10 lbs heavier, but I didn't weigh it.

One thing that's getting me is fittment. Questions for you guys with the CS-6 hoods: Anyone else have big panel gaps with the fenders? What about the surface dipping below the fenders back by the windshield? I know fiberglass fittment isn't perfect, but this is concerning me. Hopefully with the hood sitting out in the sun over the next week things will settle out and it'll drift into a better shape.

The body shop is going to have some work to do, but it's really not that bad.

My hood took about a week to lay out. After 2 weeks the hood was fine. I had fender gap until i adjusted the fenders. I waited until the hood was formed right before I adjusted the fenders.

Cool, good to hear. When you adjusted the fenders, did you slot out the holes the bolts go through? I tucked in the driver's side fender as much as it would go yesterday but that was only about 1 or 2 mm.

So another question: Anyone overpay-- I mean buy the Shelby fake grill for the hood? If so, how did you attach it? I was thinking nylon self-tapping screws. I can't believe they charged $65 for this piece of plastic

I didn't need to mess with the holes in the fenders because the hood corrected most flaws as it layed out on the car. At first i was scared too, but by the time my bodyshop did the prep and paint, the hood fit a hell of alot better. After another week went by the fittment was allmost perfect. I only had to do minamal fender adjustment when I did mine.

As far as the fake grill goes..... I saw it and there is no way that ugly cheaply made $65 piece of crap grill will go on my hood. I will have one custom made later. For right now wheels and a new rear facia have top priority.
